Pat Klobas

Pat is a member of the Marin Symphony, Sun Valley Summer Symphony and has performed with the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Ballet and the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra. Pat has also performed with the San Francisco Symphony as a featured jazz bassist for performers Idena Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Michael Feinstein and Jessye Norman for the Symphony’s 2010 Gala celebration.

Pat’s many performances of Shorenstein/Nederlander productions include the world premiere of White Christmas, The Producers with Martin Short and Jason Alexander, West Side Story, Ragtime and Les Miserables. Mr. Klobas’s favorite recording credits include the Klobas/Kesecker Ensemble’s debut cd with Zakir Hussain entitled “No Gravity”, as well as recordings by the Turtle Island String Quartet, Skywalker Symphony, Linda Ronstadt, Randy Newman and many others.

Mr. Klobas has had the privilege of having performed with Rosemary Clooney, Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir and First Fusion, Bruce Forman, SF Jazz Big Band with Michael Feinstein, Stevie Wonder, Jessica Williams, Greg Osby and Pete Escovedo.

Pat Klobas has the position of Lecturer of Jazz and Classical Double Bass Studies at California State University East Bay. He is the jazz coordinator for the Golden Gate Bass Camp and is a founding member of the Northern California Bass Club.
